'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, And to take him at his word; Just to rest upon his promise, And to know, "Thus saith the Lord." Jesus, Jesus, how I trust him! How I've proved him o'er and o'er! Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! O for grace to trust him more! I'm so glad I learned to trust thee, Precious Jesus, Savior, friend; And I know that thou art with me, Wilt be with me to the end.
This song came to my mind tonight as I was praying for someone who I love dearly and who is struggling right now. When there are questions that we can not answer and things we can not control, as much as we may want to, I think it is so vitally important to put our trust in Jesus. He is in control. I have to remind myself of this daily, as I tend to want to control everything myself. Sometimes there are harsh reminders that I am not in control, other times there are gentle reminders. Either way, there are constant reminders for myself to try my best to "Let go and let God" - have you ever heard that little saying? I just felt compelled to put it out there in case anyone else is having any struggles and having any questions that they can not seem to find answers to. Please put a little prayer in there for the person I am thinking about.

Happy Easter
Happy Easter! We had a great Easter this year. Abby had a party and egg hunt at her school on Wednesday, and Beau had one at MDO on Thursday. Friday Papaw and Aunt Jody arrived for a Spring Break visit! We are having the best time visiting with them and getting some help with the kiddos! Abby and Beau are so excited they are here they can hardly stand it. Yesterday we went with my neighbor and friend Serena to her church's egg hunt. The kids had a blast and Abby won an awesome door prize. (I'll try to pictures of that on later...they are still on the other camera.) Today after an exciting morning of opening Easter baskets we all went to church and then had a big ol' yummy Easter dinner with our neighbors. Afterwards we had our own egg hunt in the back yard with all of the kids. We are all exhausted and have very full bellies. Good times! More pictures to come - just wanted to say Happy Easter!

Where's Will?
Beau asks me all of the time about Will. Whenever there is a baby on tv or in pictures he calls it Will (I guess because we still refer to Will as "Baby Will" even though they are only 6 months apart). Finally we flew north to the much colder weather to see cousin Will. Poor Abby did not get to make the visit this go round, which she was VERY upset about. Needless to say, Mommy and Beau brought her back lots of loot to try and show her how much we were thinking about her. She did get to spend lots of much needed time with Daddy! They stayed busy going to a birthday party, watching the Vols play and mulching the entire yard. (Thank-you, Toby!! It looks great by the way...) Will and Beau got along pretty well. Will is more laid back than Beau right now. Beau would not leave Will alone!! Poor Will got smothered with lots of hugs and kisses, laid on, bounced on, pushed and probably whacked with a cast a few times as well! Nothing like having an older cousin!! We had such a good time visiting. Thank-you Michael and Courtney for being so sweet and letting us come turn your house upside down for a few days! We had so much fun and miss ya'll already! Good morning!! Check out the hair on that kid!
Poor Will. One of Beau's many "hugs" - you can see why he may have tired of them, huh?
I had to get a picture of Beau in the (left-over) snow - it may be a while before he sees any again!
Hangin' on the cough with our sippy cups. What a life!
Watching some mornin' cartoons. I thought this picture was cute - both zoned out watching tv and sitting the same way side by side...
Stroller mommas and babies at the zoo.
Checking out the sting rays. Beau LOVED the zoo and aquarium! An extra thanks for taking us, Michael and Courtney!!Riding the carousel at the zoo...both boys loved that.
Beau petting a snake. He made a gagging face right after he touched it. It was pretty funny. I thought being the (all) boy that he is he might like it, but it kind of grossed him out!
Aunt Jody and Papaw come in on Friday for a whole week!! YAAAAAAAYYYYYY!! We'll try to take lots of pictures over Easter and post some good ones of their visit! Everybody have a Happy Easter! Remembering the reason...

Emergency Room...Again...No, I'm NOT Kidding
You had better believe neither of us was smiling like this picture 24 hours ago! We had yet another trip to the ER last night, this time for a fall off of the swing on the brand new, not even fully put together play set in the backyard. After a not near as bad or long trip to the ER (thanks to a phone call ahead from our friend Richard who is a doc here) and a trip to a great ortho gal' (although how I wished last night that we lived in the same city as Uncle Michael) today we have another battle scar and I have another notch in my mommy belt. It is not that bad, and he only has to wear the cast for a few weeks. However, please pray for us that we will not have any other mishaps for a while, because, quite frankly, Mommy cried all the way there and had a meltdown on the phone with my mom on the way there! We do not want to be on a first name basis with the ER staff here! Beau is doing fine - still favoring his boo-boo a lot, but starting to show off his "cash" (cast). He is staying on motrin and tylenol around the clock, and seems to be doing ok. He will probably be whacking people with that thing in a matter of days. The ortho doctor said he is just a little ortho doc in the making. We'll see... His little cast is glow in the dark, which Abby calls his "glows in the night" cast. Oh, and today is mine and Toby's 7th wedding anniversary! What a way to celebrate, huh?
Elmo and Big Bird at Sesame Street Live last week. Beau and Abby both love Sesame Street. I wasn't sure how Beau would do for a 2 hour production, but he danced through the whole thing. Abby took a more serious approach, trying to really pay attention to the story, of course.
