Happy 4th Birthday, Beau

It is official...Beau is 4!

My how time flies. It is hard to believe he is already 4. Thinking back, it is even harder to believe that he had spent the better part of his life as a Louisiana baby, and Lane has yet to live in Tennessee!

A few things about our 4 year old:

Favorite color: red
Favorite food: steak
Favorite toy: Lightning McQueen
Favorite movie: Alvin and the Chipmunks Squeakquel
Favorite friend: Jack (from school)
Favorite shirt: Boden dinosaur shirt
He says he is going to marry Abby when he grows up.
He doesn't really like peanut butter, and loves pretty much any kind of meat.
He requested a gun like daddy's for his birthday this year. (No, we didn't get him one...thought we'd hold off on that until he was at least five:)
He is a lover. He adores his baby sister and has never grow tired of showering her with attention and kisses. He loves his mommy and is very much a momma's boy. He wants to buy me flowers every time he sees them at a store, and loves to snuggle up with me still. Kisses still heal most things, aside from the broken arm, stitches in the chin and the other two times his face (forehead and above the eye) have had to be glued. Please, Lord, let him continue to be a momma's boy just a little while longer...
He is also a fighter. He will fight to the bitter end. He will physically fight a tough fight, whether he should or not. He will not back down and will not be picked on by anyone. Our neighbor thinks he has a future in cage fighting. He is rather scrappy. He will also argue his side of a disagreement into the ground, whether he is right or wrong. Much soap has been dispensed into his mouth due to this. We are still learning:)
He makes us laugh every day. He is quite a comedian and makes most everyone around him laugh, sometimes when he is trying to, but more often without any real effort or intention on his behalf.
He is very smart. He learns at his own pace when it is his decision to do so. He can write all of his letters and knows how to spell several words. He loves to play board games, video games, and is quite the master at puzzles. He can almost navigate the computer better than me.
He is quite athletic. He can smack a pitch thrown by his daddy in the back yard, can tackle with the best of them, and has started scoring lots of soccer goals in his soccer games.
We are so proud that he is ours. He is truly one of our biggest blessings from the Lord. He is our one and only boy, stuck in the middle of these two sassy girls. We are so delighted and blessed that he is ours!
