Lane turned 1 year old on September 17th, 2010.
A few weeks after she turned a year she started walking everywhere. Her first and favorite word (and maybe her favorite person for that matter) is "Daddy". She can also say "bye-bye" and has just recently started saying "Abby" shockingly clearly. She loves to wave, and can mimic just about any noise you make. She can even blow kisses.
Lane loves a good bath, playing with anything that she is not supposed to get into (anything other than her toys), music and dancing, her brother and sister, rough-housing (wrestling on the floor with her daddy and siblings), her stuffed cow and pink pig lovee, eating (favorites include grapes, yogurt and macaroni and cheese) and Baby Einstein videos.
Lane can not stand getting her face (nose, hands) wiped off/cleaned after eating or when sick, having her feet covered with a blanket, wearing a bow in her hair or shoes/socks on her feet, being left by her mommy or daddy (this is getting better, but always cries when left with a sitter) and being told no!
So far, she is our Cajun baby - born and thus far raised in Louisiana. She reminds me lots of baby Abby a lot of the time, although much chunkier and with dark brown eyes instead of blue. Lots say she looks like her mommy:)
We are so proud of our sweet baby. She is very loved and very spoiled! We are excited to continue to watch this little blessing grow!
