The day after arriving in Nashville for a visit, Mom and I took the kids (and ourselves) shopping. Abby has been begging to get her ears pierced for months, and I had told her maybe the next time we visited. Well, that kid forgets NOTHING!! So, here is a pre-piercing shot of those perfect little baby ears...

Beau holding his BB up for one last shot before it goes bye-bye!! Yep, you read it right. We threw away the pacifiers when we returned home. Beau got to pick out a toy and a video (we did this with Abby, too) if he willingly agreed to throw away his BB. He was up for the task, and very excited about his new loot. However, he has asked for it multiple time and since then has offered to take the toys back so he could have his BB back. It has been quite a bit harder than Abby, and thank the Lord I threw them ALL away, because I probably would have given in and given him one if I had one at some points. Over all he has done well with it though. It has been 5 days and counting. I am wondering when he will finally quit asking for it, though.
There it goes!!We had a great trip to Nashville - lots of time with friends and family. We were gone for 10 days, so we really missed Daddy!!! Other than that, it was non-stop fun in the sun! Both Courtney and Mom had birthdays while we were there - Happy Birthday, girls! Papaw and Jody came back home with us. Jody is here for 2 weeks. Papaw stayed for a few days. He drove back Toby's old truck because Toby (finally) got a new truck!! The kids had VBS this week where Abby took home the award for Best Student in the 4 and 5 year old class at the closing ceremonies!! Yay Abby!!! Beau has done lots of growing this week as he has said good-bye to his pacifiers. It has been a challenge - mostly at nap and bed time, but we are making it through it.
